Mently & Dogcs needed to expand its market presence by integrating with significant marketplaces like Fressnapf. IT Delight developed a custom Shopware 6 extension to connect to MIRAKL for seamless integration with Fressnapf despite the lack of off-the-shelf solutions.
About project
Mently & Dogcs are German brands of high-quality supplements and vitamins. They have a main site on Shopware 5, but we developed two separate sites on Shopware 6 for their sub-brands (they were also built on the same instance of Shopware - Custom design from scratch).
Challenge
The project presented a significant challenge as there was no existing connector or plugin for Shopware to integrate with the MIRAKL system for switching to the Fressnapf marketplace. The integration had to be done without any APIs, test data, or environments provided by MIRAKL. This required our team to develop a custom solution from scratch and simulate a virtual environment to test and validate the integration.
Solution
Our team developed a custom Shopware 6 extension to establish a reliable connection between the store and MIRAKL. This involved writing expected responses and creating a virtual environment for testing, ensuring a seamless integration. Additionally, we explored the potential of developing a general plugin/connector that could be offered to other Shopware 6 customers facing similar integration challenges.
